Maggie Gee will be a special guest speaker in honor of Veterans Day on Thursday, November 10 at 10:30 am in the Mertes Center for the Arts (Bldg. 4000).
Maggie will be talking about her life and experiences in the WWII WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots) program. Maggie also worked as a physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
Maggie Gee was the subject of a 2009 children's book, Sky High (Tricycle Press). Author, Marissa Moss, and illustrator, Carl Angel, will join Maggie to discuss the process of researching, writing, and illustrating a biographical children's book.
Copies of the book will be available for sale in the lobby after the presentation.
